TITLE: FTTH Sales Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose of Role
We are looking for a driven, self-starting sales hunter to aggressively grow FTTH sales within assigned territories. This role is not for order-takers; it is for someone who creates opportunities, knocks on doors, builds pipelines from scratch, and consistently exceeds targets.
The ideal candidate is energetic, outgoing, resilient, and commercially sharp, with a strong bias toward action and closing deals.

Areas of Responsibility
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets through proactive prospecting and closing
- High conversion rates from cold outreach to closed deals
- Door-to-door sales and estate/complex activations – generate demand where none exists
- Cold calling, canvassing, and lead generation within the assigned territory
- Drive brand visibility through activations and on-the-ground presence
- Maintain high energy, visibility, and presence in the field
- Building a strong, self-generated pipeline (not relying on inbound leads)
- Submit accurate daily/weekly pipeline and activity reports
- Set and attend client appointments, converting interest into signed deals
- Conduct needs analysis and position the most suitable FTTH solutions
- Clearly communicate value proposition, competitive advantages, and product benefits
- Own the full sales cycle – from lead generation to deal submission
- Demonstrating deep product confidence and sales ability
- Strong discipline in reporting, admin, and follow-through
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric qualification required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ related external sales experience.
- Demonstrated sales skills and ability to close deals.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Organisational Alignment
The FTTH Sales Representative reports directly to the Sales Manager and is expected to collaborate effectively within the broader sales and operational teams.
Work Environment
- Field-based and office-bound role
- Requires flexible hours, including some weekends where needed
- Must be willing to actively canvass and prospect daily
Requirements
- Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Strong computer literacy, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and CRM systems (e.g., NetAdmin).
- Accurate and timely updating of CRM with all leads, meetings, and sales activities.
Use of a personal vehicle is at the employee’s own risk unless otherwise agreed in writing. Travel reimbursement, if applicable, will be governed by company policy.
TITLE: Network Engineer
DIVISION: Network Engineering
JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose of Role
Assist in managing and maintaining the TT Connect and Fredd network infrastructure. Ensure that exceptional attention to detail is maintained, documentation is updated, and mentoring of colleagues and the FTTB support team is provided.

Areas of Responsibility
Networking:
● Knowledge of GPON networks is essential.
● Strong fundamental networking knowledge of routing and switching.
● Extensive knowledge of Dot1Q trunking.
● Profound with link aggregation protocols such as LACP and PAGP.
● Arista MLAG experience.
● Excellent layer 2 and 3 troubleshooting skills.
● Strong networking design skills.
● Be able to draw professional, physical, and logical topology diagrams.
● The ability to draw lower and high-level network designs and documentation.
● Strong knowledge of L3 routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
● MPLS troubleshooting and design skills are essential.
● Strong knowledge of Cisco and Fortinet firewalls.
● Strong Knowledge of all spanning-tree protocols.
● Switch virtualization experience.
● Familiar with cloud security, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
● Strong Knowledge of VPN technologies.
● Knowledge of fibre and OTDR troubleshooting.
● CPE mass provisioning.
● Bulk switch updates and provisioning.
● Broadcast troubleshooting skills are essential.
● Strong knowledge of all multi-vendor protocols.
● Strong setup and troubleshooting skills in COS and QOS.
● Knowledge of L3 policy maps with policing and shaping.
● NetFlow/SFlow experience.
● The ability to capture and read Wireshark data and port spanning.
Work Environment
- In-office.
- Willing to work extended hours where required operationally.
Qualifications and Experience
● Certification in GPON Networks (Huawei/Calix, etc.)
● Professional-level to Expert Cisco Certifications.
● Experience with Cisco and Fortinet firewalls.
● Degree in Networking or BSC (not essential but advantageous).
● ITIL Certification.
● Minimum 10 years of L2 and L3 networking experience. Preferably with ISP or large-scale campus-type networks.
● National Senior Certificate.
● Own car.
● Valid driver’s license.
Organisational Alignment
The Network Engineer reports to the Chief Network Engineer and will provide metrics reports as agreed with the Chief Network Engineer. The key performance indicators for assessing the successful execution of this role will be derived from these metrics.
